Pinhole/No lens Photography
Shot by 120 film, Black & White.
This project is an experiment on pinhole photography, or as known as no lens photography. Pinhole photography is all about experiment on timeless, stillness and movement or layered exposure. Without using lens, the condition on making pictures can be more complicated as photographer has to estimate the composition themselves without a finder. It is basically hard to grab the "decisive moment" like usual camera does as it needs more time to complete the exposure on film. Sometimes pinhole camera can only documented the trace of movement which make the pictures more abstract, obscure but far more interesting and artistic; sometimes pinhole camera can neglected moving object such as flowing waters, instead it just show the stillness, the tranquility of the scene. I completed this pinhole experiment project when I took part the student exchange program in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
